VS2 Scanner Overview

Let's start the process of getting your VS2 up and running!

Note: The Veeqo app will already be pre-installed for you 🎉

Prior to your package arriving, you will receive a shipping confirmation email and a secondary email containing your security PIN for the device. You will need to have this to hand to log into the device(s)

Security Pin

Veeqo takes security very seriously and to ensure that your package is delivered safely, tamper proof tape will be used aswell as your device(s) allocated and registered with a unique security PIN already installed.

When your VS2 is fulfilled, you will receive two sets of emails. The first email will be your shipping confirmation with your tracking number.

Your second email will contain your unique security PIN which you'll need, in order for you to access the device(s). Please keep this safe. There will be one PIN per order.

For security purposes we recommend that you keep the PIN step in place, however you are able to change or remove this if you wish to do so.


Powering the device on:

Press the power button on the top right side of the device for a couple of seconds until the screen turns on


How to connect to Wi-Fi:

Swipe up (you should see all the applications installed). Go to Settings > Network and internet > Select the Wi-Fi you want to connect to. Enter the password and click Connect


How to set your local time:

Swipe up (you should see all the applications installed). Scroll to Settings > Click System > Select Date & Time. Toggle off Use network-provided time setting and select your preferred Time zone or you can keep the timezone that has been already set.


Log into Veeqo

Tap the Veeqo app icon at the bottom of the screen and use your Veeqo log in credentials to sign in.


Charging the device:

Included in your shipment will be a cable which you can use to charge your VS2. At the bottom of the VS2 will be a charging port, please plug the cable to your desktop / laptop to start charging the device.


Pistol Grip:

You will be able to push the VS2 into the pistol grip and it should then click into place.

Troubleshooting

VS1 / VS2 only

Barcode Not Scanning / Laser light not showing

When the Veeqo app is running does the laser turn on when pressing either the Trigger or the F1 key on the device?


If not, can you please go through the following steps:

If an update is showing as available go ahead and approve the update.
1. Slide the top notification bar down
2. click on the Veeqo App update notification
3. Approve the update
4. When the app update is complete sign in.
5. Press the Trigger
6. Press the F1 key
Does the laser turn on?

If the answer is no, please run through the following steps:
1. Exit the Veeqo app by pressing the app-tray button

2. Swipe the Veeqo app to the right to close it
3. Press the Home button

4. Open the Veeqo app by clicking on the icon
3. Press the Trigger or F1 button
Does the laser light turn on?

If the answer is no, please run through the following steps:

1. Exit the Veeqo app by pressing the App tray button
2. Swipe the Veeqo app to the right to close it
2. Press the home button then the 6 dot icon to open up the apps
click on ScanServer.
3. Make sure all options in the Scan Key settings section have a check next to them
4. When the app loads click the Off button on the right hand side so that it shows as On
5. Press the Trigger and see if the laser lights up
6. Press the F1 key on the front of the device to see if the laser lights up
Does the laser turn on?

If the answer is no, please do a factory reset

Attempt a factory reset. This will erase all the users settings and data on the device. Once the factory reset is complete they'll need to download the Veeqo App again and input their wifi connection details again.

1. Apps >Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset.

Does the laser light up when pressing the Trigger or F1 Key?
If the answer is no, please contact the Veeqo support team who are happy to help!



Device won't switch on:

Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

Does the Veeqo Logo appear?

If the answer is no, please follow the below steps:
Please plug the device in to ensure that it is charged.
If the device is in its charging station remove it and attempt to charge with the power cable.

1. Open the USB/DC port by pulling out the rubber seal that can be found above the power button

2. Using the original 5v 2amp charging plug that was supplied, plug it into the mains and the scanners DC port.

Does a blue LED turn on when the charging cable is plugged in?

If the answer is no, please contact the Veeqo support team who are happy to help!

Barcode not scanning

  • If an update is showing as available go ahead and approve the update.

1. Slide the top notification bar down
2. Click on the Veeqo App update notification
3. Approve the update
4. When the app update is complete sign in.
5. Press the Trigger and the F1 key to see if the laser works after doing this

  • Try resetting the Veeqo App

1. Exit the Veeqo app by pressing the app-tray button
2. Swipe the Veeqo app to the right to close it
3. Press the Home Button
4. Open the Veeqo app by clicking on the icon
3. Press the Trigger or F1 button

  • Attempt a factory reset.

  1. Go to Apps and choose Settings

  2. Select Backup & Reset

  3. Click Factory Data Reset

  4. Reconnect to your Wifi


Note: Does the laser light up when pressing the Trigger or F1 Key? If no please contact support

Unable to log in

  • Check your an internet connection by running a speed test

  1. Open the internet browser

  2. Search 'speed test'

  3. Click on Run Speed Test

Note: Did the test complete successfully? If the test did not complete successfully this could be an issue with your internet connection.

  • Try Logging in to the web-app

If you are unable to login to the main web-app, you can try resetting your password.

App fails to update

  • Check to see if the device has the latest version of Veeqo installed

  1. Go to Settings and choose Apps

  2. Click on Veeqo

  3. Under the app name you will see version followed by the numbers.

  4. If your App version number is lower than the version number in the guide, uninstall your current version of the app and download the APK file by copying the URL

Device won’t switch on

  • Check that the battery is charged on the device

Note: If the battery is dead you will need to allow the battery to charge before use

  • If the device is in its charging station remove it and attempt to charge with the power cable.

Note: Does a blue LED turn on when the charging cable is plugged in? This means the device is charging

If the device still doesn’t turn on, please contact support

Error messages

Login Error: (257:Chain validation failed)

This can be caused by the date and time of the device being set incorrectly. To resolve the issue ensure the date and time on the scanner are correct.
