If you sell products with options on NOTH, it is vital that you create a Placeholder SKU and follow instructions below to ensure accurate stock management and order fulfilment.
For example, for this Superman T-Shirt, Veeqo allows you to have a SKU for each size variant:
Large = SUP-008
Medium = SUP-007
Small = SUP-009
โ
NOTH, however, doesn't allow you to set a SKU code for each of your product variants, instead you can only set a SKU on the product level and this value then applies to all product variants.
For the above NOTHS listing example, if you set the SKU to SUP-008, all sizes Small, Medium, Large and X large have the SKU SUP-008.
If now someone orders a Small Superman T-Shirt on your NOTHS store, the order in Veeqo would show that a size Large was ordered, because the SKU SUP-008 equates to the Large variation of that shirt in Veeqo. This then depletes your stock inaccurately and you end up sending the wrong item to your customer.
To make sure you don't send the wrong items to your NOTHS customers, you need to create a Placeholder SKU for your NOTHS variations. Using the above example, we recommend using the SKU SUP-NOTH for the NOTHS listing SKU.
In Veeqo, you would simply add a new variant to the existing Superman T-Shirt, like this:
โ
If someone now orders a Small Superman T-Shirt on NOTH, the order would have the line item with the SKU SUP-NOTH and the line item notes would detail the actual size:
Before you pick the order, you can then replace this line item with the correct SKU.
