Connecting Your Shopify POS or Multi-Locations

Use this article to walk you through setting up Shopify POS or multilocation, including limitations and mapping locations

Updated this week

We fully integrate with Shopify Multi-Location, allowing you to create multiple shipping locations and view your POS stores as different channels, for better visibility of your stock and sales.

Locations are anywhere you sell products, ship, fulfil orders or stock inventory. So your retail store, locations and popups all class as locations. Your online orders and POS orders are then assigned to locations. If the order cannot be fulfilled by one location it will be split across multiple locations where there is stock available.

When you create an order using Shopify's POS the order will pull into Veeqo. The orders can be found in the Shipped filter on the left hand side of Veeqo's Order page and can be sorted out in the Sales Channel filter.

Before You Start

Before enabling multi-location please review these points:

  • If Veeqo is master of stock: POS store's stock can fulfil online orders

  • If Shopify is master of stock: POS cannot fulfil online orders.

NOTE: Checkout our Shopify POS and Multilocation Overview for more information!

How to enable POS or Multi-Location

To connect your Shopify POS store or enable multi-location:

  1. Go to Settings > Marketplace and Ecommerce Integrations

  2. Click on "Settings" next to your Shopify webstore

  3. Click "edit"

  4. Select the check box next to "Multi-location?

A Shopify POS store will be created. Once your Locations have pulled in (this can take a few minutes), you will need to:

  1. Go to Settings > Marketplace and Ecommerce Integrations

  2. Click on "Settings" next to your Shopify webstore

  3. Click "edit"

  4. Click on "Location Settings"

  5. Map your locations in Shopify to Veeqo

Location Mapping

You will have the option to map your locations in Veeqo. This will designate what location is associated to what channel, and which channels can receive online orders.

Your primary Shopify store (the original online store) should be mapped to the location which you want stock to be allocated from. This will need to be added to the Shopify store in channel settings before you can map it. This channel should be marked as the "web location".

Important

  • Veeqo must be a master of stock to enable online selling. This can be changed in your Shopify channel settings

  • The default location of the primary Shopify store can not be added as a location of your POS Shopify location.

  • All of your Shopify locations need to be mapped to a Veeqo location

  • Enabling online selling for a POS location allows you to fulfil online orders with stock from that location. You will also need to add this location to the Shopify webstore in channel settings.

Web location:
This option is the location where your online orders will be placed. This is usually the Shopify website location that will be linked to your main stock location in Veeqo.

Online selling:
This option is used to identify a separate location that will also be able to fulfil online orders if the main stock location selected doesn’t have enough inventory available.

Deleting a location

Delete the location from Shopify first, and then follow these steps in Veeqo

  1. Select your Shopify store

  2. Go to the Edit tab

  3. Click Location Settings

  4. Select the bin icon at the end of the location you wish to delete

  5. Save before you leave the page

Disable POS or Multi-location

To disable POS or multi-location:

  1. Select your Shopify store

  2. Go to the Edit tab

  3. Click on "Location Settings"

  4. Select "Turn off"
