Adding & Prioritizing Locations in your store settings

This guide will help you add location to your store and create a prioritisation list which will determine how stock is allocated

Updated over 6 months ago

This guide will help you add a location to your store and determine how stock is allocated

If you have more than one Location you may consider creating a location ranking system. This way Veeqo can automatically allocate stock to the next location if your default location is out of stock. Enabling this will also mean that your stock will be combined from the locations that you select and will then be pushed to your store.

This guide will only apply to sellers with more than one location in Veeqo, to create locations please follow this guide

Note: This does not apply to Lightspeed Retail, as it is not possible to add additional locations to Lightspeed Retail outlets.

Adding an additional location to your store

  1. Select the store you want to add an additional location to

  2. Click on the Edit tab

  3. Tick Show advanced settings

  4. Scroll down to the bottom to How Stock Quantity Should Be Synced. Your default location will already be set for you, however, if you’d like to change this then click on the dropdown arrow. From there, you should see your additional locations to select from

6. Click on Add a location to a priority order to add an additional location to your store

7. Choose the location you want to add from the dropdown

8. Save Changes

Note:

  • Once you add additional locations you will need to add the default location again as part of the priority list.

  • Once a location is linked, Veeqo will not automatically push stock levels to your channels. To do this, you would need to trigger a manual stock push.

Allocating Based on Location Prioritization

You can re-organise your locations by dragging and dropping them. This allows you to define the order you would like Veeqo to check each location for stock availability. According to how you have organised your locations, Veeqo will go through this list and will check for available stock and allocate the order(s) accordingly.

Please follow the steps below -

  1. Select the store you wish to re-organise the location order for

  2. Click on the Edit tab

  3. Tick Show advanced settings

  4. Scroll down to How Stock Quantity Should Be Synced

  5. Select Location Priority

  6. Use the drag and drop feature which will allow you to re-organise your Locations

  7. Click Save

Note: We will take stock out of your default location first, if there is no stock available for your default location then we will allocate stock from the second location on the list and so on.

Allocating Orders Based on Delivery Address

Please enable this option if you would like Veeqo to allocate from location nearest to customer location, if stock is available in that location.

Veeqo will calculate the actual distance between customer address and locations and will check the list for available stock and allocate the order(s) from nearest location.

Note: Orders which have invalid addresses when they are pulled in to Veeqo will be allocated to the default location.

If a warehouse address is invalid, we calculate approximate distances based on the valid part of the address i.e., post code, city or country.

  1. Click into the store you want to set this for

  2. Tick Show advanced settings

  3. Scroll to How Stock Quantity Should Be Synced

  4. Toggle the option "Should Veeqo allocate an order to the closest location in the list below?" on.
