Product tags on the inventory page
Updated over a year ago

Overview

We’ve updated the way product tags are created and edited on the inventory page. You can now:

  • Search tags by name.

  • Sort tags alphabetically, with the option to show them A-Z or Z-A.

  • Filter tags to show selected tags only, unselected tags only or all tags.

Creating a new tag

To create a new tag to add to your products from the inventory page, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the inventory page.

  2. Click the plus icon or any tag, next to the product you would like to tag.

  3. Click the “Add” button.

  4. Enter a new tag name and choose a color for your tag from the dropdown menu.

5. Select the tick icon next to your new tag to create it.

6. This will now be automatically selected to add to the product you chose.

Important: Tag names should be 20 characters or less in length.

Adding tags to your products

In order to add tags to your products from the inventory page, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the inventory page.

  2. Click the plus icon or any tag, next to the product you would like to tag.

3. Tick the check box next to the tags you would like to add to this product. (multiple tags can be added at once)

4. Click save.

Important: Tags are added on a product level. If you add a tag to one variation of a product it will be added to all variations.

Editing your tags

To edit your existing tags, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the inventory page.

  2. Click the plus icon or any tag, next to any product.

  3. When hovering over an existing tag a pencil icon will appear. Click the pencil icon.

4. You can change the name and colour of your tag.

5. Click the tick icon to save your changes.

Note: Tag names are not case sensitive so if you create a tag named test-tag, TEST-tag would be recognized as the same tag name.
