When the VS1 is placed in the charging dock a charging red light will appear

called HOST to show it's charging.

The VS1 needs to be pushed in hard to engage (makes a click noise) and charge. If that red light under HOST is not on, then it’s not charging.

  1. Charging dock - Check red light (labels POWER) is ON. If not, power is not getting to dock.

  2. Check VS1 is pushed in fully to the dock (makes click noise) and red light on labelled HOST will light up.

  3. Charging cradle is plugged into the electric wall socket but checking the cable is fully pushed in at both ends.

  4. Try both the DC (preferred) and micro USB inputs if one is not working.

  5. Test electric wall socket is working by testing with something else.

If the dock is not charging the device, then you should plug in the micro-USB cable directly into the VS1 device to charge, there is a socket on the right side under a black flap.

You will know this is working OK if a red LED light appears on top of the VS1 screen. If that does not work then try:

  • Test electric wall socket is working by testing with something else.

  • Try another micro USB cable incase its broken

  • Try another mains plug USB adapter

Switching ON / OFF

The power button is on the right hand side of the device.

  • Soft on (still on but screen blank) - hold it down for 1-2 seconds.

  • Soft off (on but it blanks the screen) - hold the power button down for 1 second.

  • Hard off (full power off) - hold the power button down for 10 seconds.

  • Hard on (full power on) - hold the power button down for 4 seconds.

General issues

What version of the Veeqo app is running?

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Veeqo and it will show you the version installed.

  • Currently, it’s June 2020 the latest version is 1.9.96

  • The app will send notifications to ask them to update to the latest version.

What OS version is the device running on?

  • Go to Settings > About Device > Android Version

Auto-update failing?

If there are any issues on installing the update, then you can download the latest version of the app in a file called an APK and transfer to the VS1 from a computer.

Barcode scanner not working

  1. Make sure you are using the latest version of Veeqo app (see above), this is very important

  2. Ensure an app called “ScanServer” is not installed. This takes over the barcode scanner and blocks Veeqo. Go to Settings > Apps > ScanServer and if it's present Uninstall it and do hard off/on of the VS1.
